Important Show Announcement Regarding Coronavirus Concerns

Show status as of March 11, 1:00 p.m. (EST)

IFMA Global Canada, the 2020 REMI Show, ISSA Show Canada and the Greening Health Care Forum look forward to welcoming you and your staff to our Sept. 2-3 trade show and conference taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC).

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has assessed a low public health risk associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) for everyday activities, work and public events in Canada. The safety of our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and show partners is our top priority. At present, we do not foresee any impacts to our Show; however, as a precaution, we’ve added the following protocols to ensure that all show attendees enjoy a worry-free event.

Attendee Policy

Our 2020 show will only allow access to delegates, exhibitors and sponsors from either Canada or the United States. Currently, no one from outside of Canada and the United States is registered; so, we feel confident that we’re accommodating those most interested in the Show.

Risk-free Registration

We have relaxed our standard cancellation clause. If sickness prevents you from traveling or attending, we will waive the usual cancellation administration fee and offer a full credit for next year’s event. We have also waived all substitution fees and will allow a replacement attendee to take your place right up until the event. Contact bradm@mediaedge.ca

Attendee Precautions

If you have any flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) within two weeks prior to the event, if you have visited a high-risk area, or have been in contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19 within 60 days of conference, we kindly ask that you stay home – we’ll see you next time!

Health and Safety Measures at the Show

  • A medical team will be on site to manage any situations that may arise.
  • Attendees are reminded to wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your face, and cough into your sleeve or tissue.
  • Our venues are redoubling cleaning/disinfecting protocols. Cleaning products being used have demonstrated effectiveness against viruses.
  • Venues are expanding the availability of hand-sanitation stations in all public areas.
  • All venue staff who prepare and serve food and beverages currently and will continue to wear gloves.

Please be assured that we are monitoring this situation very closely. Should there be any changes to the current status of this health emergency, the Show will take into account any recommendations from relevant federal, provincial and municipal authorities and implement all appropriate instructions. Conference organizers are following the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and PHAC, as well as Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Theresa Tam (@CPHO_Canada on Twitter).
